1. There are many times during my life where swimming connects with me and makes me feel as if I had no worries. The perfect example is here lately: it was a Monday afternoon and I just got done with a really intense workout, the kind you see on a Rocky IV movie. I was so drained and fatigued that I just about passed out right there on the thirty-yard line of the Northwest Bearcats field. Instead I got up and went and took a quick shower, but as I was showering I thought “hey I should go for a swim” so that’s exactly what I did and as soon as I hit that water on a swan dive, I felt as if nothing could stop me from anything, all my strength seemed to come right back and I no longer wanted to pass out. As I was swimming for that good forty-five minutes I just didn’t worry about anything, homework, football, girly girl problems. It was a delight for once.
2. Swimming is a sport that i think everyone enjoys. Sometimes though I think I enjoy it just a little more then everyone else. Have you ever been so stressed out that you just needed to just think about stuff alone and get your mind straight? Well that is how I am with swimming. It just clears my head, so that i can do more things. I love swimming down for a rock at the bottom, a good twenty feet down and then struggling to come back up but feel great when i finally do make it back up. It makes me feel like I just escaped my complicated life for a life of ease.
